Pinners Conference 2024 -My Experience: Inspiration, Creativity, and Community
Recently I had the absolute pleasure of attending my first Pinners Conference and let me tell you – it was like stepping into a wonderland of creativity, brimming with ideas and inspiration around every corner. For anyone who adores Pinterest (or finds themselves down rabbit holes of DIY ideas and decor tips!), this event is a must. Imagine Pinterest boards brought to life, with workshops, shopping, and inspiration around every corner. Grab a girlfriend or a family member and make reservations for the next one, you won’t be disappointed. Here’s a peek into our day and why this event is such a treasure trove for anyone looking to enrich their creative journey. I have included a rundown of my favorite moments and takeaways from the event.
The Event Atmosphere: A Creative Wonderland
Walking into the conference was like entering a vibrant marketplace of endless creativity, where every booth was an invitation to explore something new. Rows of vendors offered a stunning array of crafts, home decor, fashion, health, beauty, and even culinary wonders. The sights, smells, and colors were nothing short of amazing – each booth seemed to bring a fresh idea to life, from rustic home decor pieces to beautiful handmade jewelry and artisanal candles.
One of the first things I noticed was the warmth and friendliness of both the vendors and attendees. Many booths had their own stories, and the people behind them were just as passionate about sharing them. The energy was contagious! The event itself had a buzz of excitement and a real sense of community, like everyone was gathering to celebrate their love for creating and curating beauty in all forms.
Hands-On Workshops: Learning from the Best
The workshops were a major highlight and an absolute must for any Pinners attendee. We signed up for a mix of sessions that covered everything from holiday ornament-making to mastering the art of sourdough starters, and even a workshop on how to take great photos with your phone. Seeing the techniques up close and working alongside others gave me a whole new perspective. Not only did the instructors share their tips and tricks, but they also encouraged us to add our unique touches, making it feel like a truly personal experience.
A standout session for me was the wire-wrap jewelry making workshop. I’ve always admired this jewelry technique but was intimidated to try it on my own. In the class, we were provided with an array of materials – a gorgeous stone heart, copper or silver wire, and instruction. By the end, I’d crafted a pendant that felt like an extension of my own style, with a perfect blend of classic autumn colors and a hint of boho charm. The story of the guy who makes the hearts and collaborated on the class is Inspirational. I encourage you to check out their Instagram at @takeheart.rocks and meet TOM, “The Heart Rock Guy” he is beyond words!

Discovering New Brands and Unique Products
Shopping at Pinners was like a treasure hunt! The booths offered a mix of local artisans and small business owners, each with unique, high-quality products that you don’t often find in stores. From tantalizing scents in candle booths to artisanal snacks, the sensory experience at Pinners is like no other. I indulged in some delicious samples and picked up a few treasures that I can’t wait to showcase at home.
Building Connections with Fellow Creatives
Beyond the shopping and classes, one of the most rewarding aspects of the conference was connecting with others who share a similar creative passion. Everyone was so open, friendly, and eager to chat – from the booth owners sharing their inspirations to the other attendees exchanging DIY tips in the workshops. There’s something incredibly motivating about being around people who love creating as much as you do.
Tips for Future Pinners Attendees
If you’re thinking about attending the Pinners Conference in the future, here are a few tips to make the most of your experience:
Come early and pace yourself. With so much to see, arriving early ensures you have time to explore, attend workshops, and shop without feeling rushed.
Sign up for workshops in advance. Popular sessions fill up quickly, so I’d recommend checking out the lineup ahead of time and securing spots in your must-attend classes. They recommended purchasing the kits for the class in advance, but we found that as long as you were registered for the class purchasing kits that day were plentiful.
Bring a large tote bag. You’re bound to collect everything from brochures to samples, and, of course, unique finds from the vendors, so a sturdy bag is a lifesaver.
Don’t be shy about talking to people. The event is a networking paradise – both with industry experts and fellow creators. Take advantage of the friendly environment and strike up conversations!
Final Thoughts
Attending the Pinners Conference left me buzzing with ideas and excitement. This event is not just about collecting ideas but about connecting with a community that thrives on creativity and inspiration. Whether you’re a DIY devotee, an entrepreneur, or simply love beautiful things, Pinners has something for everyone. I’m already counting down the days until next year’s conference, where I can dive back into this amazing, creative playground! Bring your favorite crafting partner and let the fun begin.
